Last call for ESOS compliance

There are still 3000 businesses who have yet to even submit their Intent to Comply ? if this is you, or someone you know, we can help!

We are now less than two weeks away from the final ESOS “deadline” of 29th January. Qualifying businesses need to have at the very least notified the Environment Agency of their intent to comply by this date. As mentioned in a previous article, some 4,000 firms managed to hit the 5th December 2015 deadline – given that there are up to 14,000 businesses which have to comply, this represents less than one third recorded as being compliant by the initial cut-off.

A further 2,500 organisations notified the EA of their intent to comply by the 5th December last year. In the intervening weeks, a significant number of firms have either complied or submitted their intent to comply by January 29th. According to the EA, however, there are still over 3,000 companies who have yet to even supply them with an intent to comply. We are rapidly approaching a point of no return on this issue, as these companies will have very little time to appoint a lead assessor, let alone gather the required information and formulate their explanation for not being compliant by the 29th of this month.

All is not lost, however. If you own or operate any of the 3,000+ firms who have yet to begin their ESOS journey, Utilitas Solutions are here to help. We are well versed in how to comply with ESOS and can guide you through every step of the process. We implore you to get in touch today, before it is too late!
