The Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce is a membership organisation which provides a full range of business support services, ranging from networking, business support to representation. Their aims are to build and support an environment that is conducive to business growth and enterprise.

With over 1,000 members, they have a growing reputation as one of the most proactive and successful Accredited Chambers in the South East.

When Utilitas joined the Chamber in 2004 they were keen to offer their services to the other members and quickly gained a reputation of achievement. Utilitas have helped a number of Chamber Members, including Ashford International Hotel, Brachers, Furley Page, Bybrook Barn, Orbital Marketing, DSH and Red Alert. Once the reputation of Utilitas had been cemented it was a natural step for Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and Utilitas to join forces to help the members save money. After all the Chamber is all about helping business become more competitive and Utilitas can offer an outsourced procurement service that more than pays for itself, guaranteed. It was then decided to deploy the service at the Chamber and at the time they had used another procurement service for the Chamber’s energy. 

Utilitas set to work on the areas of energy and waste, electricity and waste were looked into at the head office, Ashford Business Point and gas was analysed at the office in Maidstone. Whilst the expenditure was not huge, the savings were surprisingly high considering the previous energy contracts had been negotiated by a buying group.
